This fall, I attended my first national design conference in years. Along with the usual fun of seeing friends and being inspired, the big, repeating theme from speakers was “NEVER TURN DOWN A PROJECT.” No matter the client, the money, the crazy deadline, never say “no.”
About a week or so later, a call came in through FeistyPR in Winston-Salem, NC. “I have a crazy project with a crazy deadline and a crazy budget. Will you help?” Siobhan Olson asked.
“Absolutely!” I answered.
No Rules Theatre Company, based in Winston-Salem and Arlington, VA, needed a cohesive poster series to brand their 2013-2014 season performances. Inspired by their splatter logo and graphics, the posters are now a consistent and flexible system showcasing an inventive group of plays. I hope you’ll check them out.
